Room 14’s Awesome “All About Me” Bios!

Kia ora, Room 14 whānau!

What an incredible week we’ve had in Room 14, getting creative and sharing a little bit about ourselves! Everyone worked so hard on their “All About Me” bios for our class blogs, and it’s been so much fun seeing them come to life.

You all did an amazing job with so many different parts of your bios. I was super impressed with how you were able to:

  • Create your very own “All About Me” bio and get it safely embedded onto your blog – that’s a fantastic achievement!
  • Edit your names with awesome Word Art, making them really pop and show off your personality.
  • Insert photos or use the camera to add a special touch to your bio. It’s great to put a face to the awesome words!
  • Edit your bios to make sure they were just right and shared everything you wanted to.
  • Change the background colour of your blog posts (with that clever two-finger tap on the mousepad!) to make them truly unique.
  • Change the colours for your font and text boxes to make your words stand out.

I know that for some of you, your blog accounts took a little while to load, and that can be a bit frustrating when you’re keen to get creative. Thanks for your patience and perseverance with that – you all did a great job of not giving up!

It’s wonderful to see how everyone expressed themselves differently. Your blogs are looking fantastic, and they’re a great way for us to learn more about each other.

Keep up the fantastic work, Room 14!

Quality Blogs comment and Smart Relationship: ICF – Room 14

Today’s In-Class Facilitation – Room 14
Focus: Quality Blog Comments & Smart Relationships

Today in Room 14, our In-Class Facilitation focused on two key areas: writing quality blog comments and understanding smart relationships online.

For blog commenting, we learned how to write thoughtful and positive comments that add value to someone else’s post. We discussed the importance of using kind words, asking questions, and making personal connections to the content.

In our Smart Relationships discussion, we explored how to build safe and respectful digital relationships. We talked about making good choices online, treating others with kindness, and knowing what to do if something doesn’t feel right.

This session helped us become more responsible digital citizens and better contributors in our online learning community.

WPS Rugby Boys vs Homai

Yesterday our team drove over to Homai School to have a friendly match in rugby. The boys were very excited and have been training hard for the last two weeks. Shout out to Homai for hosting us. Our boys were very lucky because after the match, they were given a sausage sizzle, fizzy drink and an icecream. We’re very grateful. It was a tough game and we learned a lot about teamwork. Our rugby tournament is next week on Tuesday and we are looking forward to it! Go Weymouth!
